
The summer of 2001 discovered Strofilia the plateau on the western side of Andros a prehistoric settlement which dates back to 6500 BC and spread to about 3 hectares.
The settlement remained alive until the Neolithic period (4500 - 3000 BC). In the years that the myth meets history, the settlement of prior geometric culture developed in the Cyclades.
