Monastery Zoodoxhou Pigis
It is built in Kapsorahi between Gavrio and Batsi and has excellent views. During tiss acne was high up to 1000 monks!
In 1928 became a female and now this little cloister nuns. This is one of the oldest monasteries in the Cyclades (90s century. AD) and is dedicated to the Life Giving Source, whose picture is here in 1325.
'It has high walls with towers, many cells of monks, a beautiful wooden temple, a library with manuscripts and relics. The Byzantine style is universal, cross design with dome and prosthesis.
